HomeKeep works entirely on your iPhone. Your home profile, tasks, notes, photos and history are stored on your device. We do not operate a server that holds your data, we do not require an account, and we cannot see your information.
The short version
Everything you put into HomeKeep stays on your device. That is the whole policy in one sentence.
What is stored on your device
- Your home profile: name, property type, approximate year built, region, and the systems your home has
- Your maintenance tasks, their schedules, and your notes
- Your completion history, including dates, costs and notes you choose to record
- Any photos you explicitly attach to a task, completion or equipment record
- Your notification preferences
This information is stored in the app's private storage area on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
What we do not collect
- No account, username or password — because there is no sign-in
- No location data
- No contacts, photos library or media beyond what you pick
- No advertising identifiers
- No behavioural or usage analytics
- No card or bank details
Photos
HomeKeep can only access photos that you explicitly select through the system photo picker for a specific task. It cannot browse your library, and it never uploads anything.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification system. We are not notified when a reminder is delivered, opened or acted upon.
Purchases
Payments and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your card details, your Apple ID password, or your billing information. Apple shares with us only the facts needed to confirm a purchase, such as the product identifier and whether it is active or refunded.
Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID, not to us, which is why restoring a purchase is all that is needed to recover it.
Children's privacy
HomeKeep is a home maintenance tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we knowingly do not collect information from anyone, including children.
Data retention and deletion
Your data lives on your device, so you control it completely. Deleting the HomeKeep app deletes your data with it. Inside the app, Settings offers "Delete all data" to erase everything immediately.
If you want a copy before deleting, Pro lets you export a home report to wherever you choose. We strongly recommend doing so — once the app is deleted the data cannot be recovered by us, because we never had it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will ship with the app and the date above will change. Because your data never leaves your device, material changes to how we handle it are unlikely.
